MATCH REPORT: Brown double sinks Barrow

Sutton Bonington FC playing against Barrow Town FC Reserves

Sutton Bonington climbed up to 5th in the table with a 3-2 win over Barrow Town Reserves.

Joe Brown took his tally to 5 goals in 7 games as he sent Sutton into a 2 goal lead inside the first 25 minutes at Barrow.

Barrow fought back to level the score midway through the second half. It looked like being Barrow's first point of the season, until manager Jack Tormey was brought down in the box for a penalty that was cooly despatched by top scorer Jordan Crosland, his 15th goal of the season.

The win moves Sutton up to 5th in the table and with Kirby Muxloe a point ahead in 4th and already having played all their games, it now looks like a straight fight between Sutton and Ingles Reserves for the 4th place spot. Both teams have 4 games remaining but Sutton currently have a 5 point cushion.

Barrow on the other hand, who are now relegated, remain bottom of the table on 0 points with 3 games left.
