MATCH REPORT: Sutton secure 3rd place

Sutton Bonington FC secured their highest ever finish in the Leicestershire Senior League with a win over Sileby Town Reserves.

The win moved Sutton 5 points clear of 4th placed Leicester Atletico, who lost their final game today 2-1 away to champions Hinckley.

Sutton made it hard for themselves, going in to the half time break 1-0 down. It wasn't until the 75th minute that Joe Kendall pulled Sutton level, before manager Jack Tormey grabbed the winner in the 90th minute.

Sutton now need to wait until the league's AGM in the summer to see if any additional promotion places become available due to teams folding in the leagues above.
