MATCH REPORT: Anstey hold Sutton to draw

Sutton Bonington FC will miss out on the automatic promotion places after beong held to a draw by Anstey Nomads Reserves.

Sutton made the perfect start, as Lee Beakon grabbed his 3rd goal of the season after just 2 minutes, but Anstey got themselves onto level terms before half time.

Sutton's frustrations grew throughout the second half as they were unable to break down the Anstey defence and the game ended 1-1.

With 2nd placed Lutterworth winning their final game today 5-0 at home to Loughborough, Sutton are now 4 points behind Lutterworth with only one game left to play, which means automatic promotion is no longer a possibility.

Sutton's final game of the season is on Tuesday evening at Sileby Town Reserves.
