MATCH REPORT: Sutton crush Sporting Markfield
Hashim hattrick inspires Sutton to 7-1 win at Markfield.
Sutton started on the front foot, taking the game to Markfield. That approach paid off as Sutton found themselves 3-0 up inside 20 minutes thanks to goals from Sam Gee, Ayo Ayodele & Musa Hashim.
A quickfire double then effectively put the game to bed just before half time as Jordan Crosland got in on the act and Hashim grabbed his second.
Hashim completed his hattrick midway through the second half and there was just enough time for manager Jack Tormey to grab a goal just before full time to make it 7-1.
Next weekend sees the start of the Everards Tiger League cup, when Sutton will play host to Ashby Ivanhoe Reserves. It will be the first meeting between the two teams since the 2015/16 season, when Sutton ran out 3-2 winners.
