MATCH REPORT: Sunday season off to bumpy start

Sutton Bonington Sunday FC playing against Allenton United FC

An end to end game ended in a 7-5 defeat for the new boss.

The Long Eaton Sunday League season got underway as Sutton travelled to face Allenton United.

Sutton were 3-2 up at half time thanks to goals from Dexter Manley, Jordan Crosland and Jack Tormey.

With 70 minutes gone Sutton thought they had the win in the bag as goals from Jack Crosland and manager Lawrence Al-Hariri had put Sutton 5-3 ahead.

However, a quick fire response swung the momentum in Allenton's favour and they eventually ran out 7-5 winners.

Sutton now have 2 weekends off before they face Mens Health Utd at home on the 10th of September.
